MARY
Mary DeCarlo is a Queens-based playwright, writer, and performer originally from Scranton, PA. She is a member resident at the Woodward Residency, where she is working on a novel about grief and the healing power and great tradition of country music.
Her play Echoes of a Hollow Body was recently read at The Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. Her flash The Summer Before the Glitter Fell Out of My Eyes was selected for The Best Small Fictions of 2022. Her play Magic Years is a semifinalist for the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival. She has an MA in Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck University of London as well as a BFA in Acting from Arcadia University.
